The Challenge

A multinational medical device, pharmaceutical, and consumer packaged goods manufacturing company, lacked a globalized intranet portal where all employees had the same experience. In 2017, it launched a globalized intranet portal to deliver a seamless and consistent experience for all employees and contractors. The portal connects, inspires and improves productivity by helping employees get minutes back in their day. However, the success of the portal initiative required strong product and project management, a resource that didn’t exist internally.

The Response

Maryville Consulting Group provided strategic guidance, led the design and delivery teams, and helped establish the product management model to ensure the successful roll out of the new enterprise portal. A client-led, cross-functional product team was developed to ensure stakeholder engagement across the enterprise. This team designed and developed the enterprise portal to enable a seamless experience for employees and contractors. The product team is also responsible for future enhancements and the continued engagement of all employees across the globe.
